A Supportive Hug

Thank you!

Welcome to the Gratitude Interventions and Practices Lab at Indiana University Bloomington

Mission of our Lab

Many people are interested in becoming more grateful but lack the knowledge, skills, and motivation to practice gratitude regularly in their lives. To this end, our lab seeks to identify interventions and practices that help people cultivate gratitude in their lives. We’re interested in a wide range of gratitude interventions and practices, including journaling, interpersonal activities (e.g., writing gratitude notes to someone else), group activities, psychoeducation (e.g., watching Youtube videos) and psychotherapy. We're also interested in identifying psychological processes that explain the effects of gratitude interventions and practices and for whom such interventions and practices are most effective.

Please also refer to our companion website for practical tips on cultivating gratitude.
